Kayaking and SUP Northwestern Oregon is blessed with scenic rivers, lakes and backwaters that are ideal flat water paddling destinations. Wildlife abounds and even in Portland, eagles, osprey, heron, deer and salmon are frequently spotted during our paddle trips. We occasionally see river otters. We keep a close eye on river and weather conditions and will design a trip to match your skill and comfort level.
Hiking Iconic waterfall hikes are great for photography. Trekking on Oregon coast beaches and headlands include vast ocean vistas, whale watching, exploring coastal towns, deep forests, bird watching, and tide pools. View spring wildflowers. Marvel at old growth forests. Take on a day of rugged steep mountain trails or take a flat riverside stroll. There are hikes for all fitness and experience levels. Camping Experience camping with Oregon Outdoor Discovery. Sit around the campfire with friends and family, cook dinner and toast marshmallows. Zip up the tent and nestle into your sleeping bag for the night. Wake up to the morning sounds of nature and a hearty breakfast. Explore the surrounding forest and waterways. Your guide is there to assist with, and offer instruction on whatever you need, while looking out for your safety. All levels of experience, including no experience whatsoever, are welcome. We also offer a beginner learn to camp program that is great for individuals, small groups and families.
