Chris Larson is an Oregon guide who visited the Pacific Northwest on vacation in 1995. After a week of rugged Cascade Mountain wilderness, beautiful Pacific coast beaches, a vibrant food scene and world class wines, he didn’t return home. Chris has lived in Oregon ever since, kayaking, hiking, and eating his way through a continuing adventure.
Chris has a degree in cultural anthropology and began guiding by leading walking tours of major cities throughout Scandinavia, the U.K., and Northern Europe. He now feels fortunate to be able to share Oregon nature, history, wines and culture with visitors and locals alike. Chris teaches outdoor skills during immersive, restorative and energizing outdoor recreation experiences. He specializes in hiking, stand up paddle boarding, bicycling, and kayaking trips. His outdoor skills, naturalist knowledge, and deep appreciation for nature developed while spending much of his time growing up on northern Canadian lakes and in the high Sierra mountains, along with extensive travels in Costa Rica, Belize, Mexico and Hawaii. He is an Oregon licensed Outdoor guide and has a Wilderness First Responder certification. Additionally, Chris leads in-depth tours of Oregon’s beautiful wine country. Chris loves helping people find new favorite wines and experience local boutique wineries. He shares knowledge and experience from many years of exploring wine country while seeking out the best Oregon winemakers and vineyards. Chris aims to help others feel rejuvenated and energized through enriching experiences that foster a deeper connection with Oregon. |
